The cause of SMT machine throwing material

The phenomenon of throwing materials may be caused by the following reasons:

01 High speed and acceleration of the mounter: Too fast running speed may cause components to be stably placed in the specified position.

02 Placement machine accuracy and calibration problems: the placement machine has not been properly calibrated, resulting in insufficient accuracy to accurately place components.

03PCB board problems: PCB board surface is not clean, warping or deformation problems may lead to the correct placement of components.

Solving the problem of SMT placement machine throwing material can be done from the following aspects:

Check the Feeder: confirm that the feeder is working properly and ensure that the components enter the placement machine smoothly. If there is a problem with the feeder, please clean, repair or replace it in time.

Nozzle adjustment: check whether the nozzle is worn or blocked, and clean or replace the damaged nozzle in time. At the same time, ensure that the suction nozzle suitable for the current component is used to ensure the stability of the suction.

Adjust the pressure of the patch: ensure that the pressure of the patch is moderate to avoid the displacement or damage of the component due to excessive pressure. At the same time, check whether the Z-axis of the placement machine is working normally.

Optimize device speed and acceleration: Excessive speed and acceleration can cause components to throw out. Adjust the speed and acceleration of the mounter properly to reduce the risk of throwing material.

Calibrate the mounter: The mounter is calibrated regularly to ensure equipment accuracy and stability, thereby reducing the risk of throwing material.

Check the PCB board: Ensure that the PCB board surface is clean, dust-free, and not warped or deformed. If the PCB is faulty, replace it in time.
